01/30/2007 - BREMERTON COMPOSITE IMAGE

I walk three to four miles a day, and this is the view I have. In this composite image, you can see the Olympic Mountain range and Bremerton's Warren Avenue Bridge. With a view like this, you would walk 3 to 4 miles a day, too. I wouldn't miss it for the world.

Nothing makes a parent prouder than when a child follows in his/her footsteps (something I never did, but who's counting?) Here, Kayla poses for a picture with her first real telescope, a 4.5 inch Orion reflector. Her first night out, she got a picture of the moon (see inset). May she have clear skies forever and return, in time, to teach me new things.

01/20/2007 - THE DOC AND JIM

The Honorable Reverend Jim poses with his dear friend, Dr. Charles Brooks, and Mike Heaton during a night of fellowship at the Hi-Tide Tavern in Port Orchard. There were souls to save and sins to be redeemed that night, and the Doc was dressed to kill.

Sadly, the Doc died one month exactly after this photo was taken. I am very honored to have known Charles and will miss him terribly. Already, this has become a cherished picture...

Jim W. Coleman is caught on camera (again!) with his good friend, Claudia Nysoe. Claudia is a realtor and also Sponsorship Chair of the 2007 South Kitsap Relay for Life. Above and beyond that, she's been a great friend through the years.

01/16/2007 - ICE GARDEN!

The Winter of 2006 - 2007 has been cold and unpredictable - snow lovers can't complain about this winter. After five straight days of snow and ice on the ground, we got an additional five inches this morning, giving me so many photo opportunities that I'm having a devil of a time deciding what to post on the photoblog. But this picture was a no-brainer - the ice and snow made some very interesting patterns in and around my garden area.

01/12/2007 - THIS LITTLE LIGHT OF MINE

Sometimes, you just see something and have to get a picture. This is a church across the street from where I work. My building is glass, and it throws quite a reflection over this magnificent church.
