10/28/2008 - DINO ROSSI, MCCAIN/PALIN, JAN ANGEL ... ON A STICK!

Meet the crew of sign wavers who stand out on the corner of Bethel and Tremont in Port Orchard until nightfall, seven days a week. They are (from left to right): Sue, John, Adam, and Jim. We have plenty of signs and we invite you to stand with us! Oftentimes, we duck on over to Puerto Vallarta for a beer when we're done, and we always have a great time. In fact, this has become the highlight of my day, and I hope to see you join us for an hour or two some night after work.

I thought I would update this with some new photos. I invited you to stop by and help us out and some of you have! We're always delighted when you pull over to ask us questions or to talk. We have plenty of signs, and there is plenty of room for you.
Tonight, we even had some young people stop by to wave OBAMA '08 signs. We had a real good time with them, both sides agreeing that what is important is that we turn out the vote.
John, in particular, is a lot of fun to wave signs with as he will engage passersby in conversation. "Why are you voting for Obama?" he recently asked two college-aged girls. "Because he's HOT!" came the answer. Hey, it's all part of discovery.
Standing with us is someone who has met Bill Clinton, and has some very interesting first-hand stories to tell. But you gotta come stand out on the corner to hear them.
This really grows on you, and is a lot of fun - and you're running out of time to help make a difference. I urge you to pull into the Safeway lot and come help us out, or engage us in dialogue.
Look me up while you're there, I'll buy you a beer.
