After completing the Camina Drummer (Cara Gee) art work some months ago, I ran an informal Twitter poll to ask fans of the Amazon Prime series "The Expanse" which character they would like to see featured in an upcoming art original. This work is the result of that poll. Of the top three characters from that poll (Kamal, Avasarala, Miller), Cas Anvar's character topped the list.
Taking more than 60 hours, this 15x20-inch piece was painstakingly hand-drawn dot-by-dot and line-by-line, using four different nib sizes of Kohinoor technical pens. Drawn on quality heavy Crescent Illustration board, the original artwork will last for generations when properly framed.
Special thanks to Bora Kutlu for letting me use his Screaming Firehawks logo in this art piece. I hope I didn't butcher it too badly - it's hard to hand draw something so intricate into such a small area ... :)
Technical pens were the mainstay of the designer and illustrator's craft before the development of computer graphics. Now, many art enthusiasts are rediscovering the technical pen because its handiwork stands out almost magically against the bland precision of computer rendered graphics. My work has always been produced with the best technical pens and durable India inks available.
Ships unframed. Shipping to the contiguous United States is included in the price. Delivery signature will be required.
