This is a commissioned portrait of Leonard "Lenny" Laudenslager, the late husband of a dear friend of mine.
When Lenny passed away, his wife asked me to do a portrait piece of him, from a favorite photo of his. Having known and loved Lenny myself, I was honored to be asked and happy to do the work.
Lenny died from complications directly related to his service in Vietnam. Through this piece, I hope that viewers take a moment to reflect on it and to appreciate the very real sacrifices made by people like Lenny to ensure our freedoms and our way of life.
Dimensions: 20 x 30 inches
Media: Pen and ink
NOTE: You are purchasing a professionally reprinted poster of an original art piece. A matte and frame is not included - that is an individual choice to be made by the purchaser.
Any watermarks visible in the gallery photos have been digitally added to protect the online images; the watermarks are not part of the original or reprinted art pieces.
This commissioned piece was drawn on Foamcore board, using three nib sizes of Koh-i-noor Rapidograph art pens. After completion, a custom crate was built and the piece was shipped to Florida.
