ARCHIVED CHEROKEE PRINT: This is the print that defined me as an artist in high-school, the print that literally spawned all of this.
Up to this point, I'd produced t-shirt and silk-screen prints, but nothing very complex, nothing with any theme, nothing with any staying power.
The original version of this print was 11x17 inches, drawn on heavy paper stock. I did it to impress some girl. It ended up impressing a large number of them!
What you see here is a photocopy of the original print, reduced to 8x10, so most of the detail is gone. A careful eye can pick out the note that I had planned to re-draw this print. I've been planning to do that for 20 years now! This was my first King Tut drawing and, as it would turn out, my best (to date).
I studied Egyptian hieroglyphics in high school, so you can bet your bottom dollar that the hieroglyphics actually say something. But I wouldn't have a clue how to decipher it today. Also, you may notice the words "History of Mystery" among the hieroglyphs.
Gosh, but what a man must do to impress a girl. I'd better quit typing here and get back to what I'm drawing today.
