If I had a dime for every time someone asked if I would draw "_______" and how much it would cost, I wouldn't have to do this any more! But since I don't have all those dimes, I need to keep doing this - and at a rate somewhat higher than a dime. :)

Why would you want a commission an original art piece?

»To preserve the memory of something or someone you hold dear - before the memories and images fade.
»To honor a friend, lover or coworker.
»To give as a gift, to express you sympathy, or friendship, or love.
»To years later throw darts at should your feelings for the person ever change.

»First, I will need a GOOD photo to work from. Several photos are better yet. It is actually best if I can photograph the subject myself. If so, I will require no deposit. But I know that is not always possible.
»$75 deposit. I will work with you on creating a pencil sketch. If for some reason you change your mind or decide you don't want to continue, I keep the $75 and the sketch.
»My open rate is $35/hour. Again, if the photo you give me is good, I may drop that down to $25/hour, as a good photo makes all the difference. Most small pieces can be done in 8 hours or so. Larger, more elaborate pieces can take more - sometimes substantially more. I am very good at quoting in advance how much time I think a particular piece will take. Your deposit counts toward the hourly rate on the finished print.

If you are ready to start or you have a photo in mind or you just have a queston, please e-mail me. Feel free to submit a photo via email - I can take a look at it and let you know if it would be suitable, and probably give you a realistic quote right on the spot.

What follows are pieces I've done in the past, and the actual photos used to create them.

LEVEL HEADS II

There is a lot of buzz among my fans and associates about what is commonly being referred to as 'my Alzheimers story.' The name of the story is "Tonia's Coming" and it will appear in my upcoming book "Level Heads II" - sequel to "Level Heads."
